WHERE MATERIALS BECOME
A LANGUAGE OF DESIGN

In the world of contemporary interiors, the difference between a well-designed space and an extraordinary one often lies in the dialogue between materials. Surfaces, textures, light and objects shape the emotional landscape of a space long before furniture or decoration enter the conversation.

Founded in Bucharest in 2018, Concept Hub was conceived as a destination for architects, designers and discerning clients who understand that great interiors are built from the ground up — starting with the materials themselves.

More than a showroom, Concept Hub is a curated universe of interior finishes, bringing together some of the most respected international brands in ceramics, lighting, furniture, bathroom design and architectural surfaces. The result is a space where the process of selecting materials becomes an act of creative exploration.

Concept Hub is about vision

As Swiss architect Peter Zumthor once wrote, “In order to design buildings with a sensuous connection to life, one must think far beyond form and construction.” This idea resonates strongly with the philosophy behind Concept Hub, where materials are not seen as the final layer of a project, but as the starting point of spatial identity.

For founders Adriana and Cătălin Cojocaru, the vision behind Concept Hub emerged from the desire to create a place where architects and clients could approach design through materials. Rather than navigating fragmented suppliers and disconnected product categories, they imagined a platform where surfaces, objects and technologies could coexist within a coherent architectural language.

A Curated Vision of Interior Living

Concept Hub is about curation

What sets Concept Hub apart is its philosophy of curation rather than accumulation.

Every brand in the portfolio is carefully selected to contribute to a broader narrative of interior architecture. From the tactile elegance of large-format ceramic surfaces to sculptural bathroom pieces, lighting design and contemporary furniture, the collection forms a cohesive ecosystem of materials and objects.

Within this framework, architects and clients can develop projects holistically — moving seamlessly from architectural surfaces to lighting, furniture and decorative finishes without losing aesthetic continuity.

For Adriana Cojocaru, this approach reflects a broader shift in the way interiors are conceived today.

“Materials are the first architectural decision in an interior. They determine how light behaves, how space is perceived and ultimately how people experience a place.”

In this sense, the experience at Concept Hub is less about browsing products and more about discovering how materials interact within space.

The Portfolio as Design Vocabulary

Concept Hub is about a complete design vocabulary

Concept Hub’s portfolio reads almost like a dictionary of contemporary interior design.

Brands such as Atlas Concorde and Iris FMG introduce architectural surfaces that define spatial atmospheres through texture, scale and color. In the bathroom environment, sculptural pieces by Antoniolupi, Flaminia and AXA transform functional objects into design statements.

Water design systems by Tres Grifería and Fima Carlo Frattini bring precision engineering and refined detailing, while lighting from Flos, Aromas del Campo and Slamp shapes the emotional tone of interiors.

Furniture collections from Calligaris, Ditre Italia and Treku extend the architectural language into the living environment, while finishes from Benjamin Moore and TapLab add depth, color and artistic expression to walls.

Together, these brands create a vocabulary through which interiors can be composed with clarity and sophistication.

As Cătălin Cojocaru observes, materials function much like language in architecture.

“Once you have the right vocabulary of materials, you can begin to compose spaces with intention. The role of Concept Hub is to bring those materials together so architects can imagine complete environments, not just individual products.”

The Architecture of the Showroom

Concept Hub is about experience

Equally important is the spatial experience of Concept Hub itself.

Rather than presenting products as isolated samples, the showroom unfolds as a sequence of architectural environments. Dark, gallery-like corridors frame monumental ceramic slabs as if they were works of art, allowing visitors to experience scale, texture and veining under carefully controlled lighting.

Walls of carefully organized samples reveal the extraordinary diversity of contemporary surfaces — from stone-inspired ceramics and architectural concrete tones to intricate textures and handcrafted finishes. Display systems allow materials to be viewed vertically, almost like a library of architectural skins, enabling architects to compare tones, patterns and finishes at a glance.

In contrast, fully composed interior scenes demonstrate how these materials come to life in real spaces: monolithic stone counters, sculptural bathroom installations, refined lighting compositions and furniture pieces that create a dialogue between function and atmosphere.

The result is an environment that feels closer to a design gallery or material laboratory than a conventional showroom.

A Living Material Library

Concept Hub is about exploration

Concept Hub’s interior architecture is designed to encourage exploration.

Long corridors lined with monumental slabs invite visitors to walk through a landscape of marble, quartzite and ceramic interpretations of natural stone. At the center of the space, monolithic surfaces become counters, tables and architectural objects, demonstrating how materials can move seamlessly from wall to furniture.

Lighting plays a crucial role in this experience. Focused beams highlight veining, texture and relief, revealing the subtle nuances that define premium materials.

Throughout the showroom, carefully staged compositions allow architects and clients to visualize how different finishes interact — dark stone against warm wood, matte surfaces beside polished slabs, sculptural lighting suspended above expressive textures.

In this way, the space itself becomes an educational tool: a place where material intelligence is discovered through observation, comparison and imagination.

Where Projects Begin

Concept Hub is where projects begin

For many architects and designers, Concept Hub functions as the starting point of a project. Here, material palettes are imagined, combinations are tested and spatial narratives begin to take shape. The diversity of finishes — from minimal architectural surfaces to expressive natural stone patterns — allows every project to find its own language. Ultimately, the showroom demonstrates that materials are not merely finishing touches. They are the foundation of interior architecture, shaping the atmosphere, identity and emotional quality of a space. At Concept Hub, the architecture of a project often begins with a simple yet powerful question: What story do the materials want to tell?
